Emma Jones has a successful catering business in Washington DC and her best friend is always trying to "set her up" with eligible men throughout the DC area. And after a painful divorce, she's not ready to give up her new livestyle for any resemblance of her previous. But after an introduction and a successful catering party, it appears her best friend has succeeded with special advisor to the president Dr. Jordan Everett. Although the good doctor has his job cut out for him, he finally teaches Emma that what they've found together is worth trying to love again. However, just when it appears that they've got what it takes to move ahead together, Jordan's past comes out to burn both of them for life.

After a nasty divorce Emma Jones feels she is happy with nothing but her work. Just like most of us have, there is that one friend that won't stop meddling with our love life and always finds a way to try and set you up with the eligible bachelor. That bachelor is Jordan Everett. Jordan somehow makes Emma realize she did in fact miss being in a relationship and she falls in love. Then someone from Jordan's past manages to manipulates him and......I will let you read the rest.

It's a good story of learning to love again and not allowing someone to try and manipulate you in life. It's a story of taking chances.
