After wrecking several normal radios in my outside work I wanted a tough weatherproof model. There are a couple of industrial sided models but these were bulky and sold as much on volume and power as on ruggedness (not our image). Noticed the Oasis flow from PURE and on the basis of the reviews and our previous experience with PURE ONE and MINI decided to go for it even though I hadn't seen one other than online. My worries that it wouldn't be rugged enough were dispelled when 2 days later it arrived. A solid metal frame(incorporating a very strong handle)with rubberised fittings it really does feel like it would survive being thrown out of a window in a storm! Although it is very tough it is so stylish that my only concern now is that this pure white piece of art will get dirty outside! The functionality is amazing and the sound output easily good enough (we only need less than half volume outside while we are working). Battery life good for a ful days work. I didn't really notice the FLOW aspect when I ordered it but have already used the listen again facility over my home wiFi. If only every manufacturer put the effort into design and functionality that PURE does.

I actually bought this radio for my husband for his work, but when i saw how good it looked, i commandeered it for our en suite, I'm really happy with the sound quality and the look of this radio and its really great to use in the morning, i can listen to radio stations from the UK while im in the shower in my home in France, and my husband then turns it to his local radio station from Denmark, how small the world is becoming! I have set up the link with my computers music files and used it once, but i find all that too geeky for me and the radio is just fine,
The reason i can only give this a 3 star is because the battery has not charged for the second time in less than a year, the first time it happened, the radio was about 6 months old, i reported it to PURE website and they posted me out a new charger immediately.
Its almost 12 months old now and i went to unplug it and put it in another room today and its again gone totally flat and wont charge or turn on even with the charger plugged in (same problem as last time) so i think there is a fault with this product unless its just my bad luck that i got the dodgy one.

I've had this radio for a few months now really like using it overall. The sound quality is fine and the DAB and FM reception is great. It's a big heavy beast of a thing and it feels really solid, however the 'metal' parts do scratch quite easily if you, for example, knock it off a low table while using it outdoors. I bought this for use in the bathroom primarily and so far I've had no problems with moisture, though even my previous non-waterproof radio lasted a year so only time will tell if this one is better. It is pretty expensive but the internet radio and streaming music features make up for that. I use it more to listen to internet radio these days, if you can sift through the millions of stations there is some great content out there. The only restriction is the range of your wireless signal! The music streaming works great, I already had a media server with all my music loaded so it was really simple to set-up the Pure media server software on it and make my entire music collection available when having a shower. If it was cheaper and the 'metal' parts tougher it'd get 5 stars.

i had a mark1 oasis which i lent to my dad and he won't let me have it back, so i decided to treat myself to this and it is excellent, took 5 minutes to set up the wifi and i'm not the sharpest at those things. Has the great same sound as the mark1. I've had a couple of roberts dab's but pure one's seem for my location to have a much better reception. Expensive but hopefully over the years will be value for money.

Unfortunately our Pure Oasis died after 5 years of use of the bathroom so we were a bit dubious about buying the new version. but after reading the reviews we went ahead.
This is more than the standard DAB, it is an excellent internet radio too. The Lounge is easy to use, the way you can categorise the stations in your favourite folders is so easy and more importantly useful.
The radio holds it charge very well, it is portable, relatively light and the sound quality is excellent. Well worth the money

The Oasis Flow looks great! It is definitely bigger than you expect from having seen the pictures online, and it's weighty. The controls feel robust and of high quality. The battery life seems good enough but it can be better or worse depending on the energy and display settings you use.

Setting up the DAB function is very easy. The device scans for stations automatically and tunes itself with no fuss. If you want to set presets you can do so very quickly by using the on-board controls and the touch-display.

Setting up the wi-fi in order to gain access to The Lounge service is equally straightforward and speedy. You just need to make sure you create an account on The Lounge website through which you can find a lot of material like podcasts and Listen again programs. Make sure you have a well structured favourites folder, as adding material from the radio itself is fiddly and rather annoying.

The feature that took me a while to set up was the Media Player, which works in conjunction with the Flow Server. In order to find the registration key for the server, which you have to download and install, you need to look in a very weird place on the old Lounge website. If you use the new version you will be looking and looking to no avail. When I finally managed to start the server on my Mac, the Oasis Flow immediately connected and picked up all the audio from my iTunes folder. The only audio that I haven't been able to play through the Media Server function is my audio books. This might be due to the fact that the audio books are rather large audio files or perhaps the way they are formatted prevents the Oasis from accessing them.

The audio quality is much better than any analogue radio I've ever heard.
