Product Description

Keep your precious items safe from the damaging effects of damp and condensation with this Compact Rechargeable Dehumidifier; it is so good that we have put our name on it. Extremely versatile, it doesn't require any batteries or trailing wires making it ideal for use in small areas such as drawers, storage boxes and cupboards, wardrobes, bookshelves, car boots, bathrooms and on window sills- in fact anywhere a power source may not be easily accessible! It uses special 100% renewable, non-toxic 'water glass' silica gel crystals to soak up moisture, which show blue when dry and turn the indicator window to pink when it has soaked up the maximum volume of water. Simply plug the unit into the mains overnight (charger supplied) and it will dry out, ready to use again - no mess or expensive refills! With each charge the unit can be used for up to two months in a closed space (depending on the amount of moisture in the air).

Very useful 30 Dec 2010
By HT
I bought these for 2 quite specific purposes - for in a car, and in a wardrobe on an exterior wall, both to keep moisture down. I read the mixed reviews these dehumidifiers received, and decided to give them a try.

Since using them, the damp in my car is much reduced, to such a degree that I have just bought 2 more for other vehicles. The wardrobe was not too damp to start with, but I have confidence that these will keep it at bay reliably.

I have to say that people buying these should be realistic. They won't dry out a wet shower room, or solve a huge damp problem. They are designed to take some moisture out of the air, presumably in a closed area, and they do this well. If you have a bigger damp problem, buy an electric dehumidifier is my suggestion.

These are easy to 'recharge' by simply plugging into the mains. The observation window is very easy to read. I think that people should realise that this is just an observation window, not the full amount of crystals in there. The weight of these units is considerable, so I have to conclude that they are full of crystals, not just the small area behind the perspex as other reviewers have maybe assumed.

Overall, a good product if used in the environment it was designed for.

ok in small spaces 19 Dec 2009
By Mrs S
The intended use for these is to keep moisutre levels down in small spaces, not as the other two reviewers have done, for putting on window sills, they simply aren't designed for this function. I use them in a cabinet that suffers from condensation and they work fine. Its a bit of a faff recharging them, hence why I bought 2 so one is always on the go. The cabinet is definatly less whiffy and is drier.

WORKING FINE 2 May 2010
By A. Kerr
had two in separate cupboards for 8 weeks to stop slight dampness and condensation. Seem to be working as no evidence of either now. Crystal still blue so haven't had to recharge them yet.
