Product Description

Product Description

Humidistat bathroom extractor fans operate by having a sensor located in the fan which detects the level of humidity in the room. The sensor can be adjusted to be more or less sensitive to humidity levels depending on individual preferences. The advantage of this fan type is that the fan will operate when humidity rises - typically when a bath or shower is taken, and continue to run until the humidity levels are reduced and minimising condensation in the room. However, the sensors are placed inside the fan so it is possible that a fan will require switching on to start them (thus moving humid air over the sensor) which will then continue to run until humidity levels drop. It is important not to set the fan to be too sensitive (to low humidity levels) as it is possible that the fan will run at unnecessary times i.e in the summer at night when natural humidity levels may rise or when towel are left on radiators and humidity levels increase. Primarily used in bath and shower rooms (4" or 100mm) Epic Air Humidistat fans are IP24 rated for wet room safety zones 1,2 and 3 or outer' areas and meet current building regulations. Suitable for all site locations. Easy to clean foam filter that helps reduce fan noise when running.
