I must say as a fan who has heard every single Kid Rock song/album this is another twist in the Kid Rock portfolio.
I have listened to the Album quite a few times now (some songs more than others) and I don't personally rate all his songs compared to other albums where i could just listen to them all really.
My personalle favorites are:
Happy New Year
Mr Rock n Roll
Cocaine and Gin
The rest I don't find myself listening to so much. I don't particularly like let's ride. I mean the tunes good but I find it a bit dull throughout the song.
But it is pretty much an upbeat, feel good album with an honest approach that makes you think about life and as per usual Kid Rock is lyrically powerfull. You can tell in some sections of the songs that his voice is going and is becoming more and more richer as the years go by.
Not his best album in my opinion but if you're any kind of Kid Rock fan you will get it because it is definitely worth it. Especially for the Midnight Ferry and Mr Rock N Roll songs, Cucci Galore as well. It has a magnificent twist.
The older I get the more detached I get from Kid Rock but a great diverse artist throughout his carrer none the less.
