Bargain bin material and for good reason. The sound is so poor the CD is almost unplayable. It sounds, for the most part, like it was recorded on a dictaphone under the floorboards. Shame, really, as it is such a promising track selection.

This is a well chosen selection of early Faces/Solo material, much of which features the young Ronnie Wood who later joined the The Rolling Stones. Best tracks, Maggie May, Mandolin Wind, Handbags and Gladrags (covered my the Sterophonics in 2001). A perfect start to your Rod Stuart Collection.

Don't let the price and naff cover art fool you this is a fine collection of Rod Stewart the singer at his best. Please ignore the reviewer who thinks the sound quality is poor, they have not been remastered but still sound excellent. But the 3cd set "reason to believe" is remastered and is the best way of experiencing what a great artist Rod was before he sold out to the glitter and disco era.
