A retelling of the first story from the antagonist's prospective. A good book, well worth spending the time to read, it stands alone well. You don't need to read the first book, first.

I would even go as far as to suggest reading Jake first. Then you could choose to go back and read all or just parts of the first book.

I loved the first book, and the second was just as awesome. Maybe even better, we get to learn about Jake and why he was always so cruel. We see the softer sides of him. I'm a huge fan of Laura Eno and her skills. There was honestly nothing about the book i didn't like.

"Jake" is one imaginative piece of work. This book cleared up some unanswered questions from the first book. Also, adding to the storyline to make both books come together. I read them back to back and there is never a break in the action or the suspense. A surprisingly interesting story. I really liked this book too.
