Great fun,
By Leone Raffaele (an old cat) (Coffs Harbour N S W Australia) - See all my reviews

I just love this book. It has changed the way I think about tea cosies.I felt that knitting tea cosies was a hobby for old ladies, but how wrong was I!!!I have made two of the styles and can't wait to make another. The patterns are realy simple.I am not a great knitter ,by any stretch of imagination, and I had no trouble with these designs, and they are such fun to make. Of course,I am an older girl,I just keep forgeting that I am.I have purchased both of these books.Thank you Loani Prior.!!

Fun but difficult to make,
By nina (Herts UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Really Wild Tea Cosies (Paperback)
This is a fun book, lots of wild and wacky designs which would make really interesting and unusual gifts. The snag is that they are all knit in the round so require a level of skill in manipulating multiple pins which many knitters may not possess. Also the patterns do not seem to easily lend themselves to adaptation to two needles. So this is probably a book to stay on the shelf and be admired at intervals but not to be used.

I had my eye in this book for ages before finally purchasing it. I could not decide which book to get. I really love the tea cosies in this book, they are really wild, imaginative and any of them would be a real talking point. None if them are simple or straightforward which is why as yet I have not started one. I feel I need to gear up to it and have a good stretch of time to do one. Not something you can do whilst keeping one eye on the television!Highly recommended for the variety, the layout, the photographs and the stories that go with each cosy.
