Product Description

Fifteen years ago, Robert Fulghum published a simple credo that became the phenomenal #1 New York Times best seller All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten. Now, seven million copies later, Fulghum returns to the book that was embraced around the world. He has written a new preface and twenty-five essays, which add even more potency to a common piece of wisdom: the most basic concepts of life bear its most important opportunities.

Here Fulghum engages us with musings on life, death, love, pain, joy, sorrow and the best chicken-fried steak in the continental USA. The love story of Jean-Francois Pilatre and his hot air balloon reminds us to be unafraid to "fly"...life lessons hidden in the laundry pile...magical qualities found in a box of crayons. All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten is brimming with the very stuff of life and the significance found in the smallest details.

In the years that have passed since the first publication of this book, Robert Fulghum has had some time to ponder, to reevaluate and to reconsider. Here are those fresh thoughts on classic topics, right alongside the wonderful new essays. Perhaps in today's more challenging world, these essays on life will resonate more deeply as listeners discover how universal insights can be found in ordinary events.

Robert Fulghum takes seemingly ordinary situations and uses them to illustrate just how amazing, precious and extraordinary life really is.

By joining him on literary journeys that will take you from the Solomon Islands to Angola, the British Museum to his own front room (and even into the minds of babes), you cannot help but unite with the remarkable Robert Fulgham as he laughs and cries with the rest of humanity.

From hilariously funny to touchingly poignant, this book of anecdotes is a must for everyone. No on can fail to be moved or affected by it and, with something for every mood, it is a must-have book. You will want to pick it up again and again. You'll be glad you made the investment!

The book is a collection of very short anecdotes and musings on life in general. The story from the title is probably the best of the bunch and may be what has brought you to the author. Don't expect it to get any deeper or provide intellectual challenge. These are simple heartwarming tales that should bring a smile to you - but at times they are so sugary they may make you feel a little ill.

I wouldn't recommend the book, but its a quick and pleasant read should you wish to buy it.

All I Really Need To Know is the type of book that you can pick up if you are feeling low and it will bring a smile to your face.

Robert Fulghum knows how to pull your heart stings but without being too emotional. His observations on the smallest things in life are written in a way that even the coldest of us will feel touched.

I do not believe it has been written as a philosophy book but as one to make us realise what a wonderful world we really live in.

That is, if we are creative enough to open our eyes and our hearts.
