Product Description

Book Description

This book is about hypnosis and how to use it effectively. It will teach you what hypnosis is and how to use it effectively any time and anywhere you choose.

No prior experience of hypnosis is required to understand and apply the knowledge in this book. The techniques are outlined in full with many photographs. They are entirely practical and have been road tested over many years with thousands of people in my therapy and entertainment work.

To bring this aproach to hypnotising into a practical context this book is focussed on how to provide impromptu demonstrations of hypnosis that can be applied in any setting. This could be for fun, entertainment and laughter. It could be for relief from physical and mental pain or for the purpose of hypnotic engineering. How you apply it is up to you.

From the Author

I believe the techniques outlined are as relevant to the therapist as they are the entertainer. If you have any questions about this book feel free to contact me.

I bought this book a few months back and it's a very easy read.
It has all the information you need to get started with impromptu hypnosis, backed up with detailed photos, funny stories and ideas, so with a bit of reading, a bit of practice and a lot of confidence you can follow Anthony's instructions and hypnotise friends, family, bar staff or those anoying market researchers that pester you on a Saturday afternoon in town.
As I said, the book is very simple, it covers a lot of key areas for safety, for yourself and your subject (or victim, if your thinking of getting them to moo like a cow).
I actually trained with Anthony Jacquin after buying his book, and I got to practice a lot of the methods described in this book.
This book will teach you the basics (very well) but I would recommend training with a professional before attempting.

I was intrigued by the description of some of Anthony Jacquin's ideas on the headhacking website and bought the book in that spirit.

I expected the book to be relentlessly "street hypnotism" and to be perhaps challenged and exasperated by it in equal measure. What I wasn't prepared for was how useful much of the content was to me as a practising clinical hypnotherapist.

Previous rapid induction techniques that I had seen or studied had all been too showy, abrupt, or aggressive for me to feel comfortable using them in a clinical setting. However many of Anthony's methods are suitable and I now use them almost exclusively, with excellent feedback from clients.

There are also some good techniques for working content free with clients on certain issues. In fact I have successfully used some of these, along with the rapid induction techniques, in demonstrations, talks, and introductory evenings - again not in a showy/stage/street hypnosis way but in a way that suits my style and setting.

I would have recommended this book to other clinical hypnotherapists just to challenge and refresh their repertoire of inductions, but there is a lot more to get out of it - even the couple of bits that didn't chime with me made me reflect on what I do and why.

This is a fantastic reference for anyone who's just beginning to develop their interest in hypnotism, as well as those who may already have some experience in the area. It's clearly written and is a great guide which allowed my to gain effective results very quickly, as well as opening my eyes to areas where I had been going wrong in the past.

A bargain for the amount it increases your level of skill and understanding regarding hypnosis.
