5.0 out of 5 stars If you love food, you'll love this ! 2 Sep 2006
I would recommend this book to those people who enjoy cooking hearty, comfort food for their families and friends. Unlike many cookery books , this has a real variety of dishes and ingredients. The Irish stew was well recieved by grown ups and kids alike. The style of writing is relaxed and warm, as if chatting with a friend. Can't wait for the next book !

4.0 out of 5 stars Cook With Style 12 Nov 2009
By Ann B. Keller - Published on Amazon.com
If you want to cook fast and simply, yet turn out mouth-watering meals like a Master Chef, then this is the cookbook for you! So many of these traditional European dishes can be assembled from a few simple ingredients which, when blended together, create a recipe that will leave your friends, family or dinner guests raving about your cooking skills.

The photographs by Sylvain Thomas are also a marvelous compliment to the cookbook. Each is arranged with great care and attention to color, light and shadow and the very ambience of the dish itself. Just leafing through these marvelous images begs the reader to immerse himself/herself in this great cookbook. An asset to any kitchen shelf and with general appeal, as well.
