As a big fan of all the Real Housewives of... shows I just had to get this book. It covers all of the first four shows in the franchise, from Orange County to New York, Atlanta and New Jersey.
For a Housewives fan this is pretty much the holy grail of books, it isn't one sided like a stars autobiography may be, it's balanced and has frank insight from both the stars, producers and crew on the show dishing on what really happened to cause some of the funniest, heartbreaking and most controversial moments from the women that have America talking. Including exclusive interviews with the wives past and present, they don't hold back when talking about their co-stars, from OC's Tamra Barney telling it like it is about Gretchen Rossi (eww) to New Jersey's Teresa ripping into Danielle Staub, I honestly couldn't put this book down!
One of the best parts of the book is the contents pages where all the Housewives are lined up underneath with some of their most famous quotes - it honestly had me laughing and rolling my eyes at some of them for some time!
If only the other Housewives series would be released on DVD over here, especially OC seasons 2-5 and Atlanta *hint hint* but until then, in the words of the fantastic Vicki Gunvalson from OC, this book gets a 'WooHOOO!'

For a Real FAN who doesn't read blogs? Maybe.

If you have someone in your life who loves the Real Housewives franchise, and is not internet savvy, this might be a good gift choice once the price goes down.
However, if anyone twitters, reads or looks at the photos already on Bravo and/or many other web news articles or blogs? It's just not worth it. Stories and photos are recycled, there is nothing really new if you spend any time on the internet, and frankly, there are some embarrassing inaccuracies.
As far as "insider information" or answers to the questions many fans would ask? No, not really. Even the story about the Danielle/Dina feud is already out there. Google will bring up much more information than this book does.
It's a pity really, because Bravo could have really had something here. Apparently Gretchen from OC gave them personal photos and stories, but none made the book, for example.
I will give it two stars because, FOR THE RIGHT PERSON, (fan of the show, someone who doesn't surf the net at all) this might be a fun little book.
Shame on you Bravo! This could have been so good.

I bought this for my wife and she dictated the following: This book did not give any "inside knowledge". It was a bravo love fest. Don't buy it. It is a fluff piece and takes advantage of fans. I only gave it a star because I had to in order to post this review.
