I like this but it needs just a little work., 27 Oct 2002

This Product is alot of fun, but i do agree it can be slow and deleting things is a problem but its well worth it. It gives you a good sense of what your project will look like when its finished and what it will cost.
It does have flaws, that the makers need to look at ,such you cannot place all objects on the tables, you can't walk throught closed doors, ok you can't do that in real life, but you can't take the roof off and have a birds eye view either but in this you can. You have plenty of options when it comes to colours, wallpapers, sofas, ligths , cookers ,everything you can really think of.The controls are easy once you get the hang of it.
Over all its a useful product that i liked using when i decorated my home early this year. The childern just like building dream houses, they seem to love it.
it seems to bring out the budding desingers in them,as this product gives them a wide choice of styles and designs.

The Real Homes 3D designer., 14 Mar 2002

In sentance, this has to be one of the most frustrating programmes I've come accross.
It has no paperback manual and trusts you have the patients,(after four months),to adapt it's "Help tool bar topics" to create what resembles the property of which you currently reside.
There is no clicking of the right mouse button to modify mistakes or templates. The inadequate inventory on the top tool bar is almost impudent.
One has to constantly save and design at a snail's pace in order to gain any headway.
To access "Delete Wall" is excrutiatingly difficult. "Help Topics" never jump out to guide you through the process.
It does however look quite neat and inviting. That said, the feeling soon disolves when you try to equate the actual measurements of your property
to view the new look of a room you dream to redesign.
Real Homes 3D Online does not necessarily mean extra help or further downloads. "It's an advert for other products". (Make your own mind up to purchase them, following this programme).
I've resigned myself to pencil and graph paper cynically believing that proffesional packages would bring greater results,(The cost of which could amount to a decent new fridge freezer).
If that thought came to me four months ago,I would have more time on my hands and [money] in my pocket.
Kind Regards Fraser from Buckinghamshire.
