This review is from: The Real Ghostbusters: A Hard Day's Fright (Paperback)
I was a huge fan of all things Ghostbusters in my early teens. having found enthusiasm for GB recently recharged I got this and the other titles currently available ('Which, Witch is Which?', 'This Ghost is Toast' & 'Who Ya Gonna Call?'). All have been ace. If you got any of the comics when the cartoon was at it's peak you will know what to expect. I have a huge box of the well read (thus very worn) comics in the loft so it was great to have some of the stories collected here printed on quality paper with the bold colours looking good. The books are smaller and thinner than I expected. They are about novel size (I was expecting annual size) and not even 1cm thick, although each has a good selection of artwork and stories. I remembered some of the stories being much longer than they actually were, the stories are all short and sweet, don't expect any kind of character development here. These are kids comics reprinted, fun, but not grown up graphic novels. One complaint is that the reduced size makes some of the text a little small to read. Also, worth getting is the "Ghostbusters: legion" rethink of the original Ghostbusters.
