5.0 out of 5 stars Calling all teenage chefs - buy this book!, 3 Oct 2006
This review is from: Real Food, Real Fast (Paperback)
I rushed out to by this book on strict instructions from my son who has been using 'Cooking up a Storm' religiously since last year and was desperate for new recipes! He has learnt lots of cooking techniques from the first book, and impressed his mates (not to mention me, his mother!) with new found culinary skills. 'Real Food Real Fast' is along the same lines, but is very practically set out in chapters (5 minutes, 10 minutes etc) based on how long each dish takes to prepare. No more 'but I've not got time to cook' excuses - with this book your kids can whip up dinner in less time than it would take them to watch an episode of Neighbours. I'd recommend this for both girls and boys, and it's good for all ages. A perfect Christmas present!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book deserves six stars!, 13 Nov 2006
This review is from: Real Food, Real Fast (Paperback)
I know you can't have more than 5/5 but if you could, this book would deserve every extra star awarded it. I bought this book for my nephew. His Mum, my sister, wanted him to do more in the kitchen that just open the fridge and grab something high in salt and fat and wrapped in plastic. I dutifully bought the book but had to buy another copy before my nephew's birthday because my copy was in such a state (I'm a very messy cook). It goes without saying that my nephew loved it but so did I. This book really reignited my interest and love of food. It made me think about what I was eating and took away my old excuse that I never had time to cook 'real food'. This book does exactly what it says on the front, it is 'real food, real fast!'

Loved the first book but this one is even better!!! The time cheat pizza recipe is a firm favourite, I make it all the time. I would highly recommend this to anyone, of any age, who likes to eat healthily but has limited time.
