I'm looking at the 3rd edition, revised my Margaret Dale. If participating in a recruitment process is completely new to you then this is actually quite helpful. The question:sample-answers may seem a bit vacuous, but what they illustrate or hint-at are the sort of things you as the interviewer might like to reflect on when asking questions, listening to responses, and reflecting on what they might mean. In other words, they illustrate the thought process that underpins an interview. As a very seasoned interviewer, this book acted like a check-list - how would I have interpreted the various answers had they been given? - and was a useful "pause for thought" here and there. So, in summary, not mind-blowing (but recruitment is, as recruitment does), yet not quite as grim as another review would have us believe.
