This book was my bible when I moved into my first home.

This book is fantastic. It was bought for me by my dad when I bought my first house and it is one of the most useful books i own. It covers most subjects you are likely to need in any home DIY situation, as well as garden DIY and relevant legislation that may affect your DIY projects. I cannot stress enough how invaluable this book is and how often I've referred to it, even if I've decided I'm not confident enough to tackle the problem and call in an expert. A must have along side your tool kit.

Honestly, the money this book saved me in being able to do-it-myself, or in other cases, know when a cowboy builder was trying it on must have saved me thousands over the course of just the last couple of years.
This book is so clear and easy to use because it breaks diy jobs down into their constituent parts. I never do any diy without checking the topic in my readers digest 'bible' first.
I am very happy to reccomend it.
