When we received this book as a Christmas present a couple of years ago, we smiled politely but were not overly excited.
However, since then, we have taken on various projects and have consulted this DIY Bible every time. Whether laying down foundations for a shed, planning a garden pond, removing an old fireplace, plastering, fixing taps, you name it, this book has given us ideas and advice. For yourself or for presents it is invaluable, and cannot be recommended highly enough. We will be giving at least two as presents to new homeowners this Christmas.
If you have a home of your own, you should have a copy of this book. Get one.
