4.0 out of 5 stars A Teacher's delight 14 July 2005
I discovered this book whilst trying to find some 'funnies' for a Leavers' service. This book is packed full of amazing poems by such prestigious poets as Pie Corbett and Roger McGough. As with all poetry books, not all of the poems were to my taste; but there were certainly a superb number of very cleverly written verses. As a teacher I will be able to make use of the the poems involving similes, metaphors and kennings, great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Poetry to please 4 Feb 2009
This book really does what it says on the cover, "Read me and laugh". My daughter keeps it on her bedside table and I hear her giggling upstairs while she's reading it. A Funny Poem for Every Day of the Year is a terrific bargain and any parent is well advised to get a copy so they can sneak it away and read it for themselves while the little one is off in the land of Nod.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun read for all ages 5 July 2009
I bought this book on the recommendation of someone else and keep it in the spare bedroom for guests to read -its great to hear the poem they liked best and the good part is it also works as a bedtime story for my nearly four year old grand-daughter. I love the individual poems which make you laugh out loud and be delighted every time you turn the page!
