This book compliments the Oxford Reading Tree books that my son is reading at school. However, we have 3 books in the Read At Home series and all are different in format. Each is very good, but they are all differently formatted. One has a CD, one has several stories, two have games etc. This sort of inconsistency sits badly with the concept of reading levels set by the Oxford Reading Tree. It would be better if all the books in the series were straight reading books and the magazine format was ditched.
All that said, the stories are very good.
