I recently got given this book - and it has some fantastic vegan recipes!

Do note that there are some recipes which include honey or royal jelly, which obviously aren't vegan. I'm not sure why they're included in a 'vegan' cookbook. I know some vegans find the issue debatable, but when you're targeting a rather specific audience, isn't it just best to not use any animal products whatsoever?!

Other than these few recipes, the book is great :D

Fanatastic, have had it 5 days and made the granola, the burgers and Marakesh stew,,oh,also veg stock and mayo, going to make the dosa's this weekend, simple to do,few ingredients I am not familiar with, food tastes fantastic,my husband loves all my cooking but has said he especially likes what I have made from here, tastes so fresh and daft as it sounds you can feel how healthy it is,wish there were more main meals ideas.Fantastic book.only thing...Honey,,tut tut,,this is not vegan, alternative given but why mention it in the first place...it's a bit like the fish eating vegetarians..It doesn't wash with me,lets keep it clear and simple.

I bought this book a little shy of three months ago and it has been an eye-opener into a world of delicious vegan cooking. The recipes are laid out in a nice, clear way and are easy to follow. A lot of new ingredients had to be purchased, but I found out where to buy the ones I need and now have them in stock. Everything has tasted great and every recipe I've tried from the book is now on the list of favorites. I only have problems with one recipe in the book, the burger mix, which always falls apart on me (the two times I tried it so far). The slightly crumbling burgers still taste so yummy though, that I will keep trying and just accept that that's how they may turn out. I tried some of the smoothies one day, when my stomach was a bit upset and that worked very well. Next step, I think, will be to buy a juicer and try out the juice recipes.
