Product Description

Product Description

Ntropy is an exciting family game based on balance, calculated risk and cool nerve. A highly addictive game and loads of fun, take it in turns to place all the sticks onto a continuously developing 'super structure' before it collapses. Ntropy is also a wonderful structure nail biting game that can easily be turned into a team building challenge. A blend of Jenga, Kerplunk and a touch of operation as well, Ntropy definitley pushes your nerve to the maximum! Players start with the same number of sticks which they take in turn to place on the structure. Rolling the die decides how you must place the next stick, if any sticks fall off then you must put them back in your pile. The first person to get rid of all their sticks is the winner!

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I can't believe that no-one invented this earlier. It is brilliant. The idea is simple:

You try to loose all your (solid wooden square diameter) sticks before anyone else does. In the process you try to make the structure as fragile as possible, so that your opponents get in trouble (the fallen sticks are given to the player who dislodged them). The brilliant thing is that, no matter how far behind you are, you can still win.

The build quality is good, and initial assembly is very easy. The solid wood (which leads to the price) is essential, since you want your structures to collapse, which means that lesser materials would get damaged.

The instructions are clear, and restricted to a single page. It also stores away neatly (somewhat important, at least in our children's chaos). I can't understand the age banding though. My 5 year old has no problem playing it.

I love this game, my kids love it, and it is the first game to come out of the stack, whenever we are bored.

Highly recommended!!! A+++++

Better than Jenga 14 Jun 2005
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I got given this as a present from my kids and we had a brilliant time playing together, without any of the adults having to play deliberately badly to let the kids in with a chance as they were as good as us! I thinks it's miles better than Jenga, so if you like that then I think you'd like this as it's like a more sophisticated version of Jenga, all be it with an even weirder name!

What an fantastic challenge. Build a ridiculously rickety structure so it falls on someone elses go - the problem is everyone else is doing the same. Quite extraordinariy easy to play and yet mind bogglingly tricky to win. The great thing is there are no certainties playing the game, anyone can win. Age and experience provide only a very slight advantage (or maybe I'm just not the engineer I think I am). A geniunely fantastic family game and great for the kineasthetically minded . Construction is very good and should survive just about anything that you can throw at it (short of jumping up and down on it). Highly recommended, a game that you really should have on the games shelf, not that ours has spent much time on it.
