Having played many home games we decided it was time to try and speed things up a bit by the purchase of an auto shuffler. The idea was that while the present hand was concluded someone would shuffle a second deck in the machine. Much to our disappointment the machine only works well every now and then. The mechanism is too simplistic and not at all smooth, it makes a noise like lawnmower running over a rock and overall we decided to stick to shuffling manually. Besides you cant show off with a gadget that doesn't do the job its designed for particularly well. If i were you I would stick to the slight of hand and give this a miss!

As a regular late night card player I decided it was high time to purchase a card shuffler, this particular model was the first one I happened across and so this is what I got. Basically it does the job reasonably well but nothing more, the unit is plastic, it's very loud when in action which we found irritating particularly late at night and only seems to shuffle well about 80% of the time - the cards either get stuck at the wrong angle in the middle, aren't pulled in by the rubber wheel or not evenly pulled from both sides. I guess you get what you pay for; my advice would be to spend more money and look at other products (if you can find them).

i saw this on the poker pages and i thought WOW. Along with other things, it claims to "shuffle two decks at a time!". what i realised, it that to actually shuffle the cards, you NEED two decks to be shuffled, and even then, it isn't actually shuffling them, because you can't play with 104 cards! along with that, you will actually need two decks of exactly the same type. Now onto the actual machine, what you get for your (7.99) is visible from the start. There was a random hole in mine which was not at all smooth or even if it was meant to be there. one of the rollers does not run when the cards are lying on it, and the deck has to be lifted slightly to feed properly. Even then, they still get jammed and the two sides do not feed at the same time. sorry to be a kill-joy, but my advice is to resist the temptation to buy one sheerly because they are cheap; because that is exactly what they are - cheap.
Definitely not recommended.
