The first CD sounds to be in mono and the second is I believe in stereo. These sound like transfers from LP to CD and there is some slight distortion when you listen through headphones. The albums present 2 of the finest drummers separately and together and this is a real treat for collectors. A piece of jazz history. The albums do not appear to have been available together previously. The liner notes are by Not Now Music regular writer Peter Gamble. Nicely illustrated with original album cover artwork on the liner. The second album was recorded after the Gene Krupa Story film starring Sal Mineo had been released. A chance to obtain both original albums at a very reasonable price.
