Solidly built, looks great, and with the larger wheels, my 4 year old steams to school, leaving me running to catch up. Nice large platform to stand on. The wheels really spin well and don't grind to a halt like some scooters. I can see this lasting for years, so my advice would be buy it rather than a cheap supermarket one for a tenner. I only marked it down by one star because the folding mechanism could be smoother.

This is an otherwise reasonable scooter ruined by the hinge mechanism. The item I was delivered following my order November 2010 has a different mechanism from the pictures on Amazon. The manual makes reference to an adjustment screw which is designed to take up the play between the baseboard and the steering column - however in the 2 items I received, neither the adjustment screw or its locator plate are there at all. Presumably an accountant decided to amend the design!
The lack of adjustment means that when the steering column is in the upright position there is approximately one inch of back-and-forth play at the handlebars, as if the headset bearings are extremely loose or broken. This leads to a clattery, noisy ride with sloppy steering. Horrible. It could so easily have been avoided, but sadly I cannot recommend this scooter.
Owing to the fact that the manual and the pictures suggest that the design has been amended, I advise you to ignore all reviews prior to Nov 2010!
The lack of adjustment means that when the steering column is in the upright position there is approximately one inch of back-and-forth play at the handlebars, as if the headset bearings are extremely loose or broken. This leads to a clattery, noisy ride with sloppy steering. Horrible. It could so easily have been avoided, but sadly I cannot recommend this scooter.

I bought this Razor scooter to replace a very worn cheap three wheeler my 5 yr old had had for a couple of years. He is thrilled with it. It is sleek,looks cool and fast and he has been impressed with the speed it moves at. He had no trouble switching to two wheels and balancing -the wide kick pad probably help a bit and means he can easily put both feet on and cruise if he wants.The build is sturdy with large wheels at front and back that are eyecatching.It looks as though it will last him a good few years and I would think would be suitable for age range 5-11yrs+

Very robust,it has been thrown, knocked and well riden, but still it keeps going. Excellent product for a busy active young person. Also good height for the taller children.
