Synopsis
Lilith terrorizes the urban underground as a contract assassin. She also happens to be a vampire. This makes for a rather interesting combination, and a not-so-pleasant one for the organized crime sect that she is slowly devouring one-by-one. Think LA FEMME NIKITA with fangs!

4.0 out of 5 stars A bone-fide schlockbuster, for all you night owls, 4 May 2006
By mr-benn (England) - See all my reviews
Anyone familiar with the Channel 5 show 'Outthere' (the programme that jusifies Channel 5's existence! Also seen on Bravo) will undoubtedly have seen a fair few chunks of this. For those in the dark, so to speak - it's a rubber dress wearing vampire hitwoman. So what's not to love?

With her physics-defying physique, droll delivery and succession of hilarious one liners, Eileen Daily is a Russ Meyer leading lady that never was. Indeed, if Russ were to make a movie for Hammer, only to have it re-edited by Tsui Hark (but on a fraction of any of those film maker's budgets - which is saying something), this would be the result. It's all been done very much on the cheap, with performances ranging from gloriously OTT to generally substandard, and pretty low quality make up effects. But Jake West has taken a leaf out of Robert Rodriguez' book by a) taking on all major responsibilities of the production - direction, script, editing, camerawork - and b) making up for the lack of money by keeping the pace up, with a constantly roving camera, snappy edits and a variety of visual styles (black and white flashbacks where only the blood is in colour, speeded up film, even a CGI nightmare sequence). And while the plot is a little on the convoluted side, there are a couple of genuine surprises in there.

Anyone with an apprecation for camp, a love of cheapo horror traditions, and preferably a belly full of alcohol, will lap this up like Lillith laps up blood. It's the sort of film where you can forgive every flaw, because it's so clear from viewing that they were having an absolute blast making it. While at the time of writing I have yet to see West's latest, 'Evil Aliens,' starring that other modern day legend of British B-movies - Eden (mark 3) herself, Emily Booth - I hear there's similar fun to be had there, and I eagerly await seeing it, as well as West's upcoming 'Pumpkinhead 3.' Come on. I know you can't resist Lillith's hypnotic charms.

5.0 out of 5 stars So bad it's good, 9 May 2008
By Ellen B. Smith "ellen" (uk) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I never really understood the term 'so bad its good', until I saw this, because the acting is terrible, the effects are cheap and the story is over the top, but its very tongue-in-cheek which forgives the low buget, and you can tell that Jake West is really into these sort of films, the music is really good, and quite honestly, its really good fun. I really enjoyed watching it, if you are a goth who loves making fun of yourself and goth culture, then this is worth watching, i loved it.
