Product Description

The Razer Orbweaver’s mechanical key technology provides a distinctive tactile feedback in the form of a light pronounced tap and click to your fingertips, giving you an entirely new feel as you game. Each key has an optimized actuation force of 50g and a reduced actuation distance of 2mm, letting you unleash commands and attacks at a blisteringly fast rate. Watch as your actions-per-minute soar to devastating heights, leaving adversaries eating your dust.

Arm yourself with 20 fully programmable mechanical keys for more skills, hotkeys, and macros right at your fingertips. A programmable 8-way directional thumb-pad can also be used either for movement or as modifier keys to expand your repertoire of game-destroying abilities

The Razer Orbweaver was designed with adjustable, hand, thumb and palm-rest modules to let you customize the most comfortable experience with the keypad during marathon gaming sessions. Slide either part back or forth so that it sits under your thumb or cradles your palm perfectly, reducing hand fatigue, and optimizing ergonomic access to your controls.

3.0 out of 5 stars Best if you have medium sized hands or above 26 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase
After switching keyboards from a k90 to a tenkeyless custom keyboard, I decided I still wanted a macro bank, so I decided to pick up the orbweaver, having good experiences with Razer products in the past.

Overall, I'm very happy with it. The Cherry MX Blue switches are a pleasure to use, and with the addition of some o-rings are perfect for me. The customisability in Razer's Synapse software is also excellent.

However, the adjustability of the physical keypad is where I started running into issues. It is simply too big for my hands, and I don't have particularly small hands. The placement of the thumb buttons is a little awkward at best, and the spacebar-esque button is a stretch for my thumb to reach. The buttons that lie along the left side also make my hand cramp slightly after prolonged use, and could maybe do with being a bit wider than the rest of the buttons.

These are, however, minor problems that are mostly personal, but as a warning to people with small hands, make sure this product fits you before you buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good, improved how well I play. 8 July 2013

It's an amazing keypad. Honestly, it's so easy to use and more comfortable than a regular keyboard; it's got so many customisation features, too. If you're a hardcore gamer, you should have one of these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Device! But you pay for it. 28 April 2013

Amazing! If you use a game-pad or are thinking of getting one, the Orbweaver is at the apex, and the price reflects that fact.

Rubberised MX Cherry Blue Mechanical keys - Feel amazing with light response and great tactile feel.
Adjustable design: Fits most - if not all - hand sizes.
Full Macro capability on every key/button.
Multi-Profile if required.

You pay a premium price for gear of this level of quality.
Not as weighty as, say, the Logitech G13, and does suffer slight movement with heavy use on some surfaces.
Thumb Unit has a slight wobble when fully extended. Doesn't effect use though.
Cable quality could be better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 16 May 2013
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I upgraded from a Razer Nostromo, and had to write a review. This is sublime. I play a lot of FPS, and the responsiveness of the mechanical keys is excellent. I am just moving around a lot more smoothly and effectively. My stats on BF3 have gone up considerably, just by being able to get out of the way faster!
The other functions, like the dpad set up and space button are great and make finding controls quickly very easy. Highly recommended.

Get one, unless you're on the opposite team on the Battlefield ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars STUNNING! 15 Nov 2013

I have used the original Belkin Nostro 'Speedpad' right through to N52TE and this wonderful piece of kit surpasses my expectations.
it has a beautifully soft action on key depressions - the N52TE was quite 'clacky' and after a long WoW session my finger tips would ache a little whereas this little beauty can be used all day and all fingers are happy :)

the control over its length and width is really great and my large paw appreciates not being cramped up to reach certain keys.

I couldn't be happier with the Orbweaver and would recommend it to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't be without it. 16 Mar 2014
By Nimph
Best gaming keypad on the market imo, great mechanical keys, good adjustable design and it looks great on the desk, be warned if you've recently purchased a good gaming keyboard it may start to feel like a waste of money if you buy one of these, it will hardly get used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic product! 26 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase
So far the Razer Orb Weaver has been a dream to use, the general build quality is fantastic and the click of the mechanical keys never gets old. I was previously using the Belkin N52, which has five fewer keys and a scroll wheel, but the adaptation didn't take long, the only thing I'm not so sure about is the directional "stick", I still sometimes find myself pressing two directions at once, since it's plain with only a tiny arrow on one side. When I was looking into this product it was unclear if the thumb pad was a button, it turns out it is, and it's very sensitive, which is a good thing (most of the time.)

It was sent out in good time, but (and this is unrelated to the quality of the actual product) when I recieved my Orb Weaver, the box was slightly damaged and the product had dust and a small amount of some liquid splashed on it, almost as if it had been used, returned and then sent back out. I simply cleaned it, because I wasn't wasn't willing to waste time trying to get another sent out, but I wasn't impressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Replacement for Logitech G13 23 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase
I'm a TV PC player (i.e. Play from a sofa with a TV normal distance) so I often find it hard to have a keyboard on my lap.

I just use a normal foam laptop rest with a larger wooden surface on top of that. Therefore, ideally I need to utilise as much space as possible.

I originally had a logitech G13 and I really enjoyed using it. The LED screen was nice, but not very functional. Logitech fail to keep it up to date.

I'm not that astute when it comes to the differences between keyboards and mechanical keyboards so I simply go by how it feels.

Upon upgrading to this I found it to be incredibly responsive and your the palm rest is very good. The keys are solid and work very well. Yes, there's no LED display but to be honest, I never looked at it anyway!

All in all, it has some great customisation on the Synergy software and I think it's a great piece of kit.

Would definitely recommend.

Incredibly overpriced, uncomfortable and worst of all, the software. It makes the device unusable, as it forgets macros/ crashes frequently.
