Does this headset block out / muffle your voice when talking. Enough to mean you can't hear yourself when you speak? 4 Sep 2014
Overall mic quality is great, super clear, however there is no voice playback on the headset as there is in most turtle beach headsets. So when playing with very high bass boost or high volume your voice will seem a bit muffled/blocked out but you can still hear yourself a little. I've had the headset for a few weeks now and it hasn't really affected me at all. So yes it does muffle but not enough so you cant hear yourself speak.
At the edge of the microphone is a button to mute the microphone, but the headset doesn't have an mute option for the sound.
How is the mic quality? 25 Jul 2014
Like all microphones, this one has its fair share of problems. I have had people on the other end complaining about the sound being too low to hear. To compensate for that, you need to adjust the settings in the Synapse 2.0 software and place the mic fairly close to your mouth when speaking. However, it shouldn't deter you from purchasing the Kraken 7.1. It's still by far the best PC headset I have ever owned and the audio output is phenomenal even if it isn't true surround sound. (It's virtual surround sound)
Unfortunately no. I have tried it on 3 different tvs and all 3 of the, said USB devie not recognised. It does light up just like it does on the PC and u hear static at first but then the not supported message appears. This was the second thing I tried after successfully connecting the PS4 to it and it sounds phenomenal.
One answer: YES indefinitely.
