I bought this based on other reviews because I was tired of expensive, tiny mouse mats that slipped all over the place or became unreliable.
This one's a bit bigger than your average mat, and I kind of wish I'd gone for the even bigger one, but that's life.
I use this mainly for Photoshop work with my Apple Magic Mouse, and I have to say the level of control is very good. The mouse doesn't slip about and neither does it have any problems with the runners underneath the mouse, which can be a bit harsh on harder plastic mats.
My one criticism of this mat is that the cloth doesn't feel very comfortable to my wrist, and the edges of the mat can make the skin quite sore after extended use. I fixed this with a (£4 for 2) flannel sports wrist band from the local shop which works a treat. I know there's a wrist donut thing on Amazon for £10, but it looks like that could be uncomfortable for some and costs a lot more.
So far though I'm pleased I went with this mat and might treat myself to the much bigger version one day.
