Ergonomics: The DeathAdder has an ergonomic (hand-shaped) design that fits the palm of my hand perfectly for optimum comfort. Left-Handed and Right-Handed models are available. I've used it for a few hours at a time but still haven't suffered any hand or finger aches. I had no trouble changing from a Razer Diamondback to this mouse even though the shape is very different. With the Diamondback I was using a claw grip but now I use the palm grip style because the DeathAdder fits my palm very well. The rubberised covering feels really nice and helps with grip if your hands get warm and sweaty.

Precision: It provides up to 3500dpi using a 3.5G infrared sensor; you can pick from 450dpi, 900dpi, 1800dpi (the default) and 3500dpi. It also provides up to 1000Hz polling rate to speed up communications with the computer; you can pick from 125Hz, 500Hz (the default) and 1000Hz.

Buttons: It has 5 buttons which can be programmed to other actions. The only change I made was to set the side thumb buttons to On-The-Fly Sensitivity (which I use with the scroll wheel to decrease or increase mouse speed in game when switching from Recon sniper to Assault guns) and Windows Button 4 (for quick melee/knife action in games).

Size: It's classed by Razer as a Large Palm mouse, but it fits my medium-sized hand very well, and can be used in Claw grip style if you don't have small hands. 128mm (length) x 70mm (width) x 42.5mm (height); weight 133g (medium). It's noticeably smaller than some Palm mice such as the Roccat Kone mouse which I found big, heavy and painful to use for long gaming sessions.

Mat: Razer recommends the Goliathus cloth mouse mat for the DeathAdder. At the moment I'm using the Everglide TiTan cloth mat which seems to be fine for this mouse. Don't use a hard mat.

My Diamondback gave me 5 years and 5,000 hours of trouble-free gaming. I hope the DeathAdder will perform likewise. So far highly recommended. :)

I recently purchased this mouse because i'm returning to competitive gaming and i've got to say i'm very impressed.
I was previously using a logitech g3 (another mouse i'd recomend to anyone) but this is better in every way.

Firstly the mouse sits comfortably in my freakishly long hands but don't worry! the mouse buttons begin about half way down the mouse and are clickable from back there.
The sides of the mouse curve in an ideal way for it to be gripped with your right hand, its obviously somebody spent a long time studying how the human hand works and sits comfortably when they dreamed up this.

the design of it is very elegent, the razor simbol pulses slowly and hypnoticly, the mouse wheel lights a vibrent blue and the top of the mouse flows from the front to the bsck without any cracks or blemishes.
Even the cord is made out of what appears to be nylon rope which allows you to shape it far more easily then a standard rubber cable.
The whole thing radiates quality and attention to detail.

The accuracy of this mouse is also astounding, its definately more "slick" then the G3

If you are concerned about the 3500 dpi flying around your screen then dont be! the driver allows you to pick how fast the mouse moves and the progamable keys on it let you toggle what speed it moves! (yes you can lame snipering in your fps dont worry!)

All in all its one of the best mice i've ever owned, I doubt i'll be switching back to logitech any time soon.

If you are looking for a high grade gaming mouse then look no further! I can't recomend this thing enough.

I had an MX518 before this and wanted an upgrade. I chose this mouse because I'd heard of all the great reviews about it and I'm blown away by it. The packaging is fantastic and the product comes well presented with plenty of extras and neat additions. The mouse itself is a delight to use. It feels so good in my hand compared to the MX518. It's wider, the buttons are much better and the shape fits my hand a lot better especially around the palm area which is wider and prevents drag from the bottom of my palm.

If i was to say one bad thing about the mouse it would be the glossy surface around the sides. Already its getting pretty greasy and would benefit being the same material as the top section but thats only minor and it doesn't detract from the Deathadder being a fantastic product.

The most comfortable mouse I've ever used. High recommend!!!
