this was an interesting biography about an extremely interesting writer. it was my introduction to roussel though i do wish i had had his books at hand to consult while reading about his life. this is a very detailed biography and was, perhaps at times, a little too detailed for my taste (ie descriptions of items that roussel's mother owned, etc). however if you're really into roussel, you'll probably eat it up and if you're not yet, i think you will be intrigued enough to finish it and read some roussel.
