Raymond Antrobus is a spoken word poet, writer and photographer, born and bred in Hackney. He is co-curator of popular London poetry showcases such as Chill Pill and Keats House Forum. He has performed and read along side authors and poets such as Margret Atwood, Michael Horovitz, Lemm Sissay, Benjamin Zephaniah and Kwame Dawes.
Raymond appeared on series 5 of BBC Radio 4's Bespoken Word. He has been performing poetry since 2007 and is the International Farrago slam champion 2008, Anti-Slam Champ 2010, won Best Performance by a London poet at the Farrago annual poetry awards 2010 and Canterbury Word Slam Champ 2012.
He's performed at Literature Festivals at London's Southbank Centre and Universities across London and nationwide.
Raymond has also toured his poetry across Germany, Switzerland, Italy, South Africa and USA. He is one half of poet/musician duo Autistic Pieces with Alex Patten releasing an EP in 2012 which was reviewed by The Huffington Post as "a wonderful thing to behold"
Raymond is currently piloting Europe's first MA in Spoken Word Education / Writing & Teaching Programme at Goldsmith's University.
