Ray Youell

Ray Youell is one of the UK's leading authors specialising in travel and tourism books for schools, colleges and universities. He is the founder and Editorial Director of Travel & Tourism Publishing Ltd., the only UK company specialising in the publication of travel and tourism books and electronic resources for the 14-19 age range (www.tandtpublishing.co.uk). Ray has more than 25 years' experience of the travel and tourism industry, working in the UK and overseas, and teaching in further and higher education. Prior to launching Travel & Tourism Publishing, Ray was Head of Tourism Management at Aberystwyth University. He has been writing textbooks for more than 15 years and has acted as a consultant to the QCA and the major awarding bodies on travel and tourism curriculum developments. Professionally, Ray is a member of the Tourism Society and the Society of Authors.
