This is actually an OK set of music from the lad.

I am not a fan, just to get that straight. I am 25, and believe that i order to sing these songs and mean it you need some sort of life experience in order to sound credible. That's just my opinion on this sort of music.

But from a listeners point of view, I think that he has a good voice, sings confidently, and it is a nice collection of music that you can stick on and enjoy.

Forget X Factor...this dude can sing.

bravo our kid 30 Sep 2007
By Bj Lucas VINE™ VOICE
Format:Audio CD
Well, how about this? a young scouser with talent who sings songs like they ought to be sung. Ray Quinn, having enjoyed succes as part of the cast in brookside, joined the X factor last year. coming second to Leona, this is his first album. Irressistable swing, and great melodies permeate this great album. 'Ain't that a kick in the head' 'That's life' and 'Mack the knife' are just some of the treats in store on this brilliant album. Bravo Ray!.

Better than expected! 19 April 2007
Format:Audio CD
I love this cd - o.k. I know that he is no Sammy D or Frank S, but I knew that before I bought it. I don't honestly believe that those reviewers who rubished it actually bought it. He actually sings better than he did on X-Factor, and I have already played it several times, something I rarely do with a new cd. Well done Ray. I will even consider paying money to watch you when you appear in Ipswich later this year!

The only question...

To those who rated the album 1 star... first of all, forget that he was on X Factor. Judge the album on it's individual merits. Read more
