Perfect electro pop 17 Aug 2010
By Alicat
Format:Audio CD
This is THE perfect album. It gave me hope that pop music wasn't dead after having to endure the Kylie/Astley drivel that was the end of the Eighties. The music is considered and beautifully textured and layered using a mixture of 'real' and electronic instruments. The clarity of the production means you never miss a word - and what lyrics! Just buy it - you won't regret it.

Unable to rate but... 20 Sep 2010
Format:Audio CD
Unfortunately I cannot rate this item as it was lost in the post and was the only one so couldn't be sent a new one. The company were extremely gracious in refunding my money after trying to find a replacement. As for the cd my memories are of it being a big part of my third year at university, 1992! Will try to find another.

Excellent synth/ambient music 21 Jun 2009
By J. Palaima - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
This has been an audio cd iv been searching for a long time.. Its a cross between synth/pop/ambient music... sort of airy and harmonious, like enya but more pop-ish and DIFFICULT TO FIND IN PRINT..

Highly recommend you check out the sample files on Amazon for it. its not the easiest thing to describe..
A pleasing follow-up to "Sue" 17 May 2006
By Jeffrey J. Lyons - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Frazier Chorus are pioneers in some respects. They pioneered a kind of mellow sound that is often referred to as Dream Pop these days. Except that Frazier Chorus would compose these wonderfully ethereal melodies while inserting lyrics about death, lousy relationships, and one night stands crooned almost in a whisper by lead singer Tim Freeman. Ironic really.

"Ray" is very much like that. Dreary or sex-obsessed topics put to chillingly beautiful melodies, probably played on keybaords but sounding like a chamber orchestra. Still it's enjoyable in its own way.

The first time I heard Frazier Chorus was when they released "Sue" in '89. That was one of my most favorite albums at the time. "Ray" is very similar in sound and therefore is very easy to enjoy. My favorites on this one are "All the Air" and "Prefer You Dead."

They are an acquired taste.

I have this album along with a remix ep that was a limited release. I'd say that "Nothing" sticks out as the coolest song on the album but I have listened to this album hundreds of times and never find myself hitting "next". It's a classic to me.
