From Amazon.co.uk

A by-the-numbers action flick featuring a stern Arnold Schwarzenegger, Raw Deal has all the traditional traits of the genre. Schwarzenegger is a disgraced former FBI agent who winds up as sheriff of a backwater Southern town. He is given a chance to reclaim his job when the head of the Bureau offers him reinstatement if he'll go undercover to capture the mob boss responsible for killing his son. Schwarzenegger must get close enough to gain the trust of the gangster without being discovered as a mole, while gathering enough evidence to take him down. One of Schwarzenegger's early films, in which he honed his persona, Raw Deal offers up the usual quotient of gun battles and tough talk, with a trace of self-deprecating humour from its star, making it reasonably worthwhile entertainment. --Robert Lane, Amazon.com

Product Description

Former FBI agent Mark Kaminsky (Arnold Schwarzenegger) was forced to leave the Bureau due to his excessive brutality. When someone is required to infiltrate Luigi Patrovita's (Sam Wanamaker) crime organisation in Chicago, Kaminsky is offered a second chance by FBI man Harry Shannon (Darren McGavin). He agrees to take on a job as Patrovita's bodyguard, and destroy the mob from within.

3.0 out of 5 stars "Don't Bake And Drink" 25 July 2010
By DL Productions UK VINE™ VOICE
Format:Blu-ray
Lets be honest, this wasn't one of Arnie's best movies, it was a sort of stop gap for him, but one that really didn't really cut it for me. Yes, this is fun, watching Arnie trying to be the tough guy and a lover at the same time amused me, and there are some memorable moments, especially when he tells his wife to not drink and bake - but the moment when he's in the gravel pit listening to The Rolling Stones' (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction while killing the bad guys was probably its pinnacle, but really this is a typical gangster movie, and Arnie does OK, but doesn't blow us away.

He's a sheriff trying to get back into the Bureau, and his job is to infiltrate a Chicago Mafia family - by any means - but he has to stay under the radar to make this work.

This blu is pretty fine, with a 5.1 Master Audio track which pumps at 2 megabits a second - the quality is much better than the 2.0 mix I had before. The video is AVC and is around 30Mbit/sec - and the quality of the picture just shows you what artists Studio Canal are, and this shines really nicely. The extras are poor, the only highlight is Dave Saunders talking about the movie, though a big Arnie fan, he wasn't impressed with this one. Sadly there are no subtitles or other languages, it's rather bare, but for what it does it does it well.

This isn't a bad disk, but the fact it's bare doesn't do the fans justice, I know this film is a bit niche and has a following - but really it could have done with being feature packed, or at least a couple of languages and subtitles. This is really aimed at megafans of the movie, and fails as they already have this on DVD. The only redeeming feature is the fact it is in HD and is stunning.

This is good old Arnie, and good old 80's Action. Any Action Movie plot about a disgraced FBI Agent, and now small town Sheriff, is going to be a Drunken Mans Action lets be Honest! The thing i find great is that anyone who either Loves or Hates this Movie, when discussing any plot falls or daftness, never seem to hit on what i find the most Crazy! a Law Enforcement Officer who fakes his own Death, by breaking in and blowing up a Oil Refinery so he can go on a Killing spree, to help a old friend avenge his Dead Son, and does not have to face Criminal Action for it is totally Mad!!! that's why i Love old Action Movies, the Madness knows no bounds. A little 80's Cracker!

2.0 out of 5 stars The title says it all i'm afraid.
Naaa, This one's a dud. It's chock full of boring chases and shootouts. The script kinda is flabby and there's no comedic value at all. Not the usual Arnie fare. Read more
