I bought this for my four year old daughter who is absolutely mad on Thomas. The game itself is fine, if rather dull for adults. You have to spin a spinner and if you get the right thing, pick up the cargo, then drop it off in your lorry. But there are big downsides:
* the spinner is hard to move for adults, let alone children - it just doesn't really spin enough
* there is no skill at all - it is all chance
* it is hard to put the board together and sometimes we spend all the time doing this, then never actually play the game! There are too many things to line up at once. There are three curved pieces that lock together and then a central circle that is like a plus in the middle of the doughnut. Why couldn't we just have a board folded in half - this would take two seconds!
* the small cards representing cargo are supposed to be arranged in a fanned out overlapping way on the board and the lorry cards. This is just because the board is too small to do it any other way. But my daughter spends hours arranging it all carefully, then it moves every time the board is touched or a card is picked up.
Just not worth it!
