The cut and quality of this jigsaw is up to Ravensburger's usual high standard. I selected it as it has several areas of bold colour and distinct regions rendering the puzzle easy to get started. It did not disappoint. It is straightforward and suitable for those who complete the occasional large jigsaw.
The areas of uniform colour are limited - the sky is cropped to only 3-4 pieces deep and the brown/grey hard-standing distributed around the characters.
The image is based on an oil painting by Kevin Walsh (though the foreground gulls have been deleted). The colours on different items are from the same pallete so it is not always possible to distinguish easily between areas. The contrast on the puzzle pieces appears lower than the box image suggests so colours less distinct - the whites are creamy and greyer.
