Product Description

Product Description

Berlin's Bradenburg Gate was constructed in 1791 to represent peace. Although part of the Berlin wall during the years of Communist government, the gate now stands as a symbol of reunification of the two sides of this remarkable city and country. The finished puzzle building is assembled using the 324 high quality plastic puzzle pieces, and measures over 1 wide when completed. You can either assemble your building “by eye” (using the printed design representing the stonework), or you may prefer to refer to the reference numbers printed on the reverse side of the pieces. Put the pieces together in sequence and see this amazing monument appear before your eyes. This would make an excellent pastime or gift for someone interested in architecture or tourism, a lovely memento of a visit to Berlin and may appeal to traditional puzzle fans after a new challenge. We reckon it might just appeal to those who enjoy model railways too … a really unusual way to introduce substantial international 3D buildings to an existing set up.

Product Description

Ravensburger - 3D Puzzle Brandenburg Gate

Experience puzzling in the 3rd Dimension!

Now the fun puzzle grows in height! The uniquely-shaped plastic puzzle pieces fit together perfectly thanks to the Easy Click Technology and form stable structures, without glue. Optional accessories complete the famous sights.

The Brandenburg gate is a former city gate, rebuilt in the late 18th century as a neoclassical triumphal arch, and now one of the most well-known landmarks of Germany.

It is located in the western part of the city centre of Berlin, at the junction of Unter den Linden and Ebertstraße, immediately west of the Pariser Platz. One block to the north stands the Reichstag building. The gate is the monumental entry to Unter den Linden, the renowned boulevard of linden trees, which formerly led directly to the city palace of the Prussian monarchs.

Now you can have your very own Brandenburg Gate!

I bought this for my 9 year old as a change from Lego. It did NOT disappoint! He was able to build it on his own, although I also enjoyed helping him find the pieces. The completed model looks great and is a lot stronger than I anticipated. Would definitely recommend to parents whose children like construction toys.

Easy to assemble; each piece is numbered. Results in excellent scale model. Plastic pieces stayed together nicely after assembly. Did not need the clear coat.

I bought this as a gift for my father who loves architecture. He loved to put it together and even modified it himself a bit--and this is a man who makes lots of models. I highly recommend this.

A great visual for presenting Neoclassical architecture to middle-school students, can be glued like any plastic injected model, or disassembled to complete again.
