Hark is a stylish boot best suited to winter wear with its sheepskin lining. I'm sure it will be reasonably warm but this was not my first consideration of course in purchasing a boot with heels so high. I'm sure it will be as comfortable as any boot with heels this high too - again not a major consideration in making this purchase.
What I really like about Hark is its proportions - pretty much perfect - with the heel height balancing elegantly against the overall height of the boot. Many ankle boots stop where the ankle starts. Hark takes the boot up a few inches above the ankle and this in large part is responsible for the stylishness factor.
The taller than average height of the boot means it won't expose bare legs or worse still non-matching socks when you sit down and your trousers ride up plus Hark will still look right with simple leggings tucked in and won't throw out the proportions of your body and look all wrong like the type of boot that cuts off right on the ankle.
No matter that Hark takes as its reference point the recent 'hiking boot' trend. Its' nod to that trend is light enough to be barely perceptible. This is a classic ankle boot you'll wear and wear.
