Whatever you do, don't miss this bargain - it includes a host of unreleased tracks / unreleased versions of already released tracks all with Bobby Vee's inimitable quality and style and there's lots of info included in the accompanying booklet of the background. These tracks are all quality with top notch musical accompaniment using first rate producers including Snuff Garrett, ( of course ! ), James Griffin, Joe Saraceno, Nick DeCaro, Roger Cook, Ron Richards, Buzz Cason, and David Gates.
Oh, by the way, don't panic when you listen to the start of the first track on CD 1 - you'll hear a long orchestral introduction. Bobby's vocal is there - it starts after approximately 52 seconds !

This is an excellent CD. Most of these songs have not been available before in any form.Some appear for the first time in stereo....all mixed from first generation mastertapes.Bobby never made a bad record...as evidenced by these tracks which(for one reason or another) weren't deemed to be suitable for release at the time they were recorded (between 1959-1971). Highly recommended. If you're a fan you won't be disappointed. Or, if you just like good pop music from the 1960s, I'm sure you'll find plenty to like here.

Bobby Vee probably has been one of my singing heroes while growing up
as a teenager in the early 60's. The musical arrangements around his songs
were superb and so genuine in those days when songs were were built up
like short simphonies lasting only 2 to 3 minutes. On the first of these
double CD rarities you'll find some real incredible unreleaseed tunes.
It starts off with a classical sounding Suzie Baby which is absolutely
outstanding: how can you turn such a simple R&R song in such a beauty?
When I heard it I thought the purchase was already paid off! Another 14
"greats" follow immediately after being "I'd Sigh, I'd Cry" the best of
them all. The second CD is definitely a lot less worth and sounds like
unreleased Liverpool sound songs something Bobby Vee turned to when success
was over. All in all for those few pounds 61 songs ain't bad.

Great value for money overall. A good booklet packed with info. Lots of unreleased material ranging from good to excellent, the baulk covering the years 1959-70. Just a few of the unreleased gems would be 'Tears wash her away', a version of 'No one can make my sunshine smile' and the fantastic 'No', the outstanding 'Don't ever take her for granted' is presented here in stereo. The second cd ends with a beautiful, piognant and world weary acoustic version of 'Take good care of my baby' - it's simply heartbreaking. Enjoy!

Been a Bobby Vee fan since the sixties and I have most of his albums. I don't get tired of the big hits but it was good to get some material which had never before been released and it sounds great. Some might say that it wasn't released because it wasn't very good but if you are a fan this CD is well worth the price.

I got this CD as a surprise for my wife who is a big Bobby Vee fan. Her opinion is that its ok but a lot of the previously ureleased material was unreleased for a reason and that was because it was not that good. She has almost all of his other CDs and prefers the more well known and popular hits. At the price of this CD you cant really go wrong in giving it a try. For the really avid fan who wants every thing its probably worth getting. If you have never bought a Bobby cd before go for the greatest hits.

i have been a vee fan since he first started, and have a lot of his vinyl, however it is getting worn out so whever i can i replace it with cassette tapes and now cds--love it price,compilation,service etc thankyou

These Cds are great.Some real good tracks some written by Bobby I have never heard before. Some by unknown writers. But Bobby has his own individual style that makes all these tracks special. To hear new songs is fantastic. I have been A Bobby Vee fan since the 1960's seeing in films like Play it Cool and Just for Fun. Great music all the way on these CD's I play them at home and in my car. Brings back memories of my teenage years. I heard that Bobby is thinking of retirement so this CD is extra special. Always had great musical talent!!!!!

Vee good
So good to have all these new unreleased and rare tracks, its like meeting an old friend you havn't heard from in ages and having a good natter about old times and memories.

Bobby Vee has always been well served in the U K right from Devil or Angel and following the recent Singles A & Bs acts as a great companion volume.
