Format:Audio CD
Whatever you do, don't miss this bargain - it includes a host of unreleased tracks / unreleased versions of already released tracks all with Bobby Vee's inimitable quality and style and there's lots of info included in the accompanying booklet of the background. These tracks are all quality with top notch musical accompaniment using first rate producers including Snuff Garrett, ( of course ! ), James Griffin, Joe Saraceno, Nick DeCaro, Roger Cook, Ron Richards, Buzz Cason, and David Gates.
Oh, by the way, don't panic when you listen to the start of the first track on CD 1 - you'll hear a long orchestral introduction. Bobby's vocal is there - it starts after approximately 52 seconds !

Format:Audio CD
This is an excellent CD. Most of these songs have not been available before in any form.Some appear for the first time in stereo....all mixed from first generation mastertapes.Bobby never made a bad record...as evidenced by these tracks which(for one reason or another) weren't deemed to be suitable for release at the time they were recorded (between 1959-1971). Highly recommended. If you're a fan you won't be disappointed. Or, if you just like good pop music from the 1960s, I'm sure you'll find plenty to like here.

Bobby Vee probably has been one of my singing heroes while growing up
as a teenager in the early 60's. The musical arrangements around his songs
were superb and so genuine in those days when songs were were built up
like short simphonies lasting only 2 to 3 minutes. On the first of these
double CD rarities you'll find some real incredible unreleaseed tunes.
It starts off with a classical sounding Suzie Baby which is absolutely
outstanding: how can you turn such a simple R&R song in such a beauty?
When I heard it I thought the purchase was already paid off! Another 14
"greats" follow immediately after being "I'd Sigh, I'd Cry" the best of
them all. The second CD is definitely a lot less worth and sounds like
unreleased Liverpool sound songs something Bobby Vee turned to when success
was over. All in all for those few pounds 61 songs ain't bad.

Bobby Vee has always been well served in the U K right from Devil or Angel and following the recent Singles A & Bs acts as a great companion volume.
