About the Author
Frank Hopkins grew up in Ringsend and now lives with his family in Rathfarnham. He contributes a twice-weekly piece on Dublin history and characters to the Evening Herald and is also the author of Hidden Dublin: Deadbeats, Dossers and Decent Skins.

This is a book that will appeal to anyone from Dublin in particular , as the characters and places the author writes about would be instantly familiar to anyone brought up in the city. I found some excerpts enlightening and others very funny. An excellent read.
