1.0 out of 5 stars well i dont know what author was thinking 28 Dec 2011

well i really dont know what to make of this book the girl who is living under the same roof with an abuser step dad decides to run off and disguise herself as a boy because the step dad crept in her bed one night she is found by the dead handsome captain James who for some reason is called Jim throughout the book James sounds so much stronger anyway from the start the heroine decides to sleep with him because she just cant do without him and the dialogue when she approaches him is totally retarded and unrealistic but what really got to me about this book is the guy and girl are totally in love from start to finish no excitement no nothing and though they do do it often there is absolutely no description of the scenes from the author at all all you get is the start then they are happy together yawn!another issue i had was even though she ran off because of the step dad she then returns to that same home and stays there for about half the book what was the point of running off?and to make matters worse we are told that when James finds out about the step dad he is fuming like an alpha but low and behold does absolutely nothing about it he doesn't even approach the step dad to warn him to stay away from his woman he even allows her to continue living under the same roof and the step dad even insinuates he is happy James will be off on a trip right in front of his face and again Jaims doesn't call him out nor reacts totally unrealistic as for Delight that's the girl all her conversations throughout the book are James come lets do it!and my final and last peeve was that the dialogues are totally repetitive are you fine yes I'm fine are you sure yes I'm ok!!!!!!!!!!the plot predictable and boring the only reason i read it to the end is because i was fascinated with the idea if it could get more ridiculous I HAVE NEVER READ A MORE BADLY WRITTEN BOOK THAN THIS ONE

4.0 out of 5 stars Sequel to Rapture's Rage. 7 May 2012
By Callie W - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
As I'm sure many readers of Rapture's Rage thought, I loved Jim's character so much and it hurt a little when Renee had pushed away his feelings. It was awesome to me that he finally got a love story of his own and it kept me glued for sure. Bobbi Smith is a wonderful author. I really got into this book.
