Am I the only person to have read the instructions properly?
Calibrate the sensor whilst it is on a wall. Unless you have unluckily placed it directly above a stud, it will work as it says on the tin. Mine worked first time.

As other reviewers have found, this detector is useless for finding studs behind walls - it's sensor continuously sounds whenever the detector is anywhere near a wall! Its metal detector is also poor - I have a very cheap detector for metal and wiring which is far superior to this. Avoid this at all costs!

Cable/pipe detector.
Seems to work reasonably well when I tested it although the sensitivity setting is not that easy to set optimally.

Very limited use
As somebody said, if you're just scanning a 9mm boarded stud wall then it's reasonably accurate but anything thicker than this is erratic and imprecise. Read more

I have to agree
Was adequate at finding metal behind thin plasterboard, but simply unusable when it comes to detecting studwork. A product that does NOT do what it says on the tin!
