Amazon Verified Purchase
When I bought it, I thought it would measure temperature within 10 sec. However, I did not realize that it takes 10sec only when used in rectal... hm..hm... so it was my mistake, as it is clearly written in the description. When used under-arm, you would need to wait up to 5 min. I checked with another trustworthy thermometer, otherwise it shows temperature lower than actual.

Although '10 seconds' is in the title describing this thermometer, even in the manual it is said that it may take up to 1 min to reach the temperature (and it actually takes 1 min to reach it). The beep that sounds roughly after 10 sec is thus misleading. Otherwise it is O.K.

I needed a quick working digital thermometer for my pregnant dam. It worked really quickly and was a fantastic price. Worked exactly as it said it would and did a great job in telling me when the puppies would arrive. Thank You Amazon.

DOES NOT WORK - WASTE OF MONEY
The thermometer goes from 33 to 39 between two reads. Wildly innacuarte. Do not by this as it is a waste. Go for a real brand. Too risky with kids otherwise

audibility
works well and is easy to use However, the sound signal indicating that the instrument has been in situ long enough is not sufficiently audible for even slightly impaired hearing.

Reasonable value for money, but...
Ordered this from Amazon with it's features matching what I had wanted. However, did not realised that it would only give me readings in Degree Centigrade and not in Fahrenheit. Read more

Wish I'd had one earlier
Gives an accurate result in a few seconds. Much better than waiting for a random interpretation of a forehead strip. Good price too.
