Product Description

Product Description

Rang and Dale's Pharmacology Flash Cards review what you learn in class and reinforce essential drug information. Using generic drug names, Maureen M. Dale and Dennis G. Haylett cover the actions, mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetic aspects, clinical uses and adverse effects of all important drugs. The 320 cards are divided into sets, each covering a different body system. Each card features a multi-color diagram that indicates how drugs may exert their action on that system. Detailed information is presented on the reverse side so that you can easily test your knowledge of the drug. With a portable format and references to Rang and Dale's Pharmacology, 6th Edition and Dale and Haylett: Pharmacology Condensed, 2nd Edition, these cards make it easy to review what you need to know in pharmacology.

Sarah Edwards,
Peninsula Medical School

Pharmacology is one of those subjects often not taught well at medical school. At times it is very challenging to learn I find, as you learn pharmacology in an abstract way. These flash cards are what I've been waiting for. I have the book but as I've been getting into my final year its been more difficult to use the book as it so big and heavy! The flash cards essentially take each drug, on one side they put a diagram of how it works and on the other they explain the drug. Its clear and concise. I only wish they could do, what they did with other flash card series. Put the name of the drug on one side and all the information on the other side, it would be more like a game. Despite this, brilliant resource.

Very good overview of mechanisms of drug action. Will be excellent for revision or a recap for pharmacy or medical students.
