BACKGROUND

Randy Travis is a multiple Grammy Award-winning American country singer. Active since 1985, he has recorded more than a dozen studio albums to date, in addition to charting more than thirty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, of which sixteen have reached Number One.

Considered a pivotal figure in the history of country music, Travis broke through in the mid-1980s with the release of his album Storms of Life; the album, which sold more than three million copies, made Travis the first country music act in history to achieve multi-platinum status. It also established him as a neotraditionalist country act, and was followed by a string of several more platinum and multi-platinum albums throughout his career.

We saw Randy Travis when he was first discovered with Forever and Ever Amen at a talent contest and naturaly won. We have followed and collected his music since. I discovered this Christmas Cd on line and it was duly delivered within a few days. We have played it constantly and waiting for next Christmas when it will be on AGAIN. THANK YOU

Well, I haven't actually opened this yet, I'm saving Randy up for Christmas Eve as my present to myself! I have heard all the songs, however, and all I can say is Randy is just THE best, his voice is incredible. Right now I don't even waste my time listening to anyone else (George Strait gets a look in now and then!) as no-one measures up to Randy. If you like Elvis I bet you'll like Randy too as their voices are both baritone and they know how to get emotions across in song.
