At last, a Rambo movie on Blu-Ray and very good it is too!

Sylvestor Stallone reprises his role as Rambo who has been sent to prison for causing havoc in a small town (Rambo:First Blood). He is given an opportunity for a pardon by his former commander(Richard Crenna)if he takes a mission into Vietnamese held territory just to take some pictures of areas where American POWs may be held. All the weapons he is permitted are bows and arrows (yes, honest!)

He is then betrayed by another superior officer when he finds out that Rambo has found out more than he should have done and attempts to rescue the prisoners of war in order to bring them home.

It is a typical gung-ho all action movie which will not only please Rambo fans, but all action fans too. Great fun from start to finish.

The Blu-Ray version is quite good, showing greater detail in the jungle scenes, supplemented with a great home cinema style soundtrack which will please sound enthusiasts. Only quibble is, there arent a great deal of extras available, just a film of an interview held in Paris in 2000. It's a minor quibble though.

This is the weakest out of the four Rambo films however it is still entertaining and worth having as part of the quadrilogy collection.

The sequel to First Blood than made Rambo an icon. It's the 1980's of course and one man can make a difference!!
