Read this when it was just a baby blog and it's great to see it fully grown as a book. Jake draws on his real-life experiences working undercover for some shady organisation (which one is, of course, never made clear) and combines these fascinating and thrilling snippets with a bit of travelogue and other entertaining vignettes on life.

Some of his writing reads like the plot of a major movie but what makes it more engaging and captivating is the knowledge that it comes from reality. Fact was always stranger - and possibly more compelling - than fiction.

Wrote a review some time ago but seems it was censored - maybe I did mention a rival book site.... Ample Amazon is watching us!(Big Brother - geddit? Oh well never mind.)

In short it's a riveting read (with apologies for excessive alliteration).

Jake Barton's work is an ebook phenomenon... his success is due to talented writing and great stories. But have to sneakily point out, this book is FREE on Smashwords

quite unusual,i dipped in and out o6f this a lot and skipped some chapters. not sure if i persevered out out of curiosity as some were really interesting or because i cant not finish a book!
