The music focuses on the rare soul played from the 70s and 80s, tracks hard to find on CD or never previously released on CD from when originally recorded in the 70s and 80s they heyday for big budget luxury soul releases. The CD follows up on the success of Ralph Tee s Soul Ecstasy collection on Expansion (CD EXP 31) and features huge household names of soul music on the quality of recordings you would expect from Ralph and Expansion.

A big thank you, to RALPH TEE....Real music for the soul, presentedas as a two disc cd, containing 30 trax......every one a class act.All the songs have been chosen on merit , and come from the mid 70s through to the early 80s ( my own personal favourite era of our music ).With artistes like PHYLLIS HYMAN, DAVID RUFFIN,E W & FIRE, BEN E KING ,KENI BURKE & LENNY WILLIAMS....you just know this is a class compilation. Contained on this set are also some hidden gems...inc, ELOISE LAWS, BOBBY LYLE, SPLENDOR, & BEAU WILLIAMS among others. My own killer toon" is the 1980 NDUGU CHANCELOR (the cocolate jam Co ) track TAKE SOME TIME.....A marvelous quiet stormer..that builds to an absolute stonking example of early 80s soul based jazz ( productions ).add great trax from BRICK, GAP BAND, ATLANTIC STARR, & RENE & ANGELA, and the feel good factor continues, throughout the entire set. An absolute must have album, its been a couple of years since RALPHS last compilation ( soul ecstacy ) but the waits been worth it, GRACIAS RALPH......this is why we love SOUL MUSIC.....ESSENTIAL STUFF.
